I am excited about two reasons. Firstly, this is my first post in ages. Secondly and more importantly, this post is in collaboration with one of my favourite bloggers of all time, Marina Writes Life. Marina has been such a support and help to a newbie like me.I mentioned her in this post as well. She’s an amazing person and somehow manages to blog regularly despite still being in school. Follow her if you don’t already!
We both knew we wanted to collab. As she’s a beauty blogger and a makeup enthusiast, we agreed on a makeup post. Now, even though I didn’t intend this blog to be about beauty, I knew there will be a few posts scattered here and there as I have a middling fondness for beauty blogging. After a little deliberation, we decided to write about our must-travel-with products and added a bit of challenge by limiting the number of products to seven.
It was a bigger challenge to Marina perhaps, as she’s such a makeup junkie (see her post here). I, meanwhile, am going through a phase where I just want a capsule collection. So, relatively a lot easier for me. The only thing I had to care about was that the packaging should be sturdy enough.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer(sand):
The only concealer I have ever bought a second bottle of. Probably the best drugstore concealer. There, I said it. Easily available and affordable, you can’t really go wrong with this little buy.
Maybelline White Super Fresh Compact(shell):
Extremely affordable, it does the work just fine. It’s also the only product I have ever hit pan on.
Colorbar Stunning Brow Pencil (chestnut):
To be honest, this just happens to be the only eyebrow product I own. So, it goes where I go.
Nars blush (orgasm):
For some magical reason, this works with pretty much everything.
Loreal Glam Bronze Duo (harmonie brunes):
Even though I don’t use the highlighter, the bronzer is the perfect shade for me. Lately, bronzing has become my favourite step in makeup-putting.
Esteé Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara(black):
This also happens to be a sample size mascara that I like well enough to want to carry with me. Mascara samples are the best. Shorter shelf-life=More mascaras to try.
Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip (Monday):
I mentioned this in my Top Five Lipsticks. This is my go-to lip colour when I don’t want to think before getting ready, which is every time, to be honest.
There you go, that’s my travel makeup bag if I could only carry seven products.
